ADMISSIONS/TUITION AND FINANCIAL AID

We are able to accept about 12 children in our first year of Kindergarten/First Grade. As we add classes in the future, we will be aiming to keep enrollment to around 12 pupils in each class. There will be two full time experienced and qualified teachers to approximately 12 pupils per class.

While we are never able to accept everyone who applies we keep our admissions process casual and welcoming, (no essays and no fee!) and we look forward to meeting your family!

Eligibility

Your child must be 5 years old by September 1 of the incoming year to be eligible for our Kindergarten Program, and 6 years old by September 1 for our First Grade Program. We may make exceptions to this guideline, following a personal interview with parents and a visit by your child.

Please note that our school is non-denominational. We try to keep a racial balance, and a healthy proportion of boys and girls. All are welcome to apply. We do give preference to siblings of alumni. Applications must be received prior to scheduled tours to obtain priority in our selection process. We do not discriminate on the basis of race religion or any other criteria.

Health forms need to be submitted, showing your child is fully vaccinated.

School Visits (Open Houses)

Once you have submitted an application, we will contact you and schedule you for a School Visit. These visits take place on Saturdays. On these visits you and your child will spend time in the classroom along with two or three other children and parents. Your child can play while the Director gives a description of the program. The Director and teachers are present and available to answer any questions you may have at that time. There is no formal interview – these school visits are our chance to get to know you and your child! We do ask that both parents attend.  We are also happy to do private tours with you and your family during weekdays.

Tuition

Tuition for 2017-2018 is $2,000 per month, covering the period from September 2017 to June 2018. We have a tuition assistance program. Please download the tuition assistance application here: TUITION ASSISTANCE APPLICATION.

There is a Summer Program during July and part of August, enrollment is flexible and tuition is billed at a daily rate comparable to our regular school program.. If you are interested in applying to our Summer Camp program, please download Summer Camp application here.

Notification and Deposits

Acceptances and requests for deposit are sent out after your visit, once all applications have been reviewed. You will be asked to sign an annual contract and submit your deposit to secure the space. If we are not able to offer a space, we will add you to the wait list – and we appreciate hearing that your interest is still strong in the event that you are wait listed. Changes often occur, and in that case parents on the waiting list will be contacted. Please do not fail to apply later in the year as we may have openings during the course of the year.

Your deposit consists of two months tuition. Deposits are non-refundable on withdrawal from the program.  This deposit is applied to your last two months of tuition or applied to the Summer Program if you wish. There is a one-time Materials Fee of $600 payable prior to your first tuition payment.

Financial Aid

Depending on our fundraising we can allot a varying amount for financial assistance, which we allocate to parents based on need. When parents receive a contract, they also receive a Financial Aid application. This application is processed and parents are notified of financial assistance by May of their incoming year.
